Artist Fliss O’Neill will help you to design and make a ‘Willow Pattern’ style plate.

This workshop focuses on blue and white pottery, the famous ‘Willow Pattern’ design and the story behind it. Fliss will lead you through making your own design with blue and white story pictures or patterns. She will show you how to transfer your patterns onto plates that you make from slabs of clay using a specially designed mould.

Please note that for younger visitors a cardboard and oil pastel etching is offered, following the same theme.

Optional extra, £3 per item: to make your plate stronger, Fliss can take it away and fire it (heating it in a very hot kiln) for you to collect on a scheduled date.
