Watching The Herd

Thursday 17th April 2014
10:30am - 4pm

Hartlebury Castle

Inspired by Susie MacMurray's artwork Herd, currently on show at historic Hartlebury Castle, artist Mark Riley will lead a day of family friendly art workshops - Watching The Herd.

Herd was commissioned by Meadow Arts for the House of Beasts exhibition and it was created using deer antlers and red velvet.

Come along to the Watching the Herd workshop and make your own version, using hazel sticks and red ribbon. You can also make a collage using natural materials collected from around Hartlebury Castle as well as art materials, fabric and paper.

Make something quick or spend some more time creating something a bit more detailed: the choice is yours.

Hartlebury is a beautiful place to look around and there will be more activities there on the day too: it really is a great day out for the family during the Easter holidays!
