Rosa Nguyen - Family Hands-On Workshop – Design a Plate

Join artist and The Precious Clay exhibitor, Rosa Nguyen in a family creative workshop exploring the clay traditions of East and West.

Participants will create designs for a dinner plate set based on the rich Imari Japanese porcelain and the ‘Old Japan’ patterns developed by Robert Chamberlain in Worcester from 1800. You will use stencils and different mediums including porcelain, terracotta and green clay and together you will be reviving the Imari designs and using plants from the artist’s own herbarium collection. The final designs will be brought together in a book, to be displayed at the Museum during the remainder of The Precious Clay exhibition.

This art activity is suitable for all abilities and Sunday’s workshops are designed for families and suitable for all ages 5 years to Adult.

For a workshop more suited to an Adult group please book onto Monday’s sessions.
