Lonely Tree - Poetry Postcards & Tree Art

Art & poetry workshop with Emily Wilkinson

26 October 2021, drop in between 12pm - 3pm

Croft Castle & Parkland

This drop-in family friendly workshop will take inspiration from a single tree, and respond to Simon Roberts’ use of ‘Waldeinsamkeit’ - a word and philosophy from the German language describing the enlightened, sublime feeling that can come from being alone in nature.

Our tree of inspiration stands alone, yet is connected to everything. In this workshop you will write your own Lonely Tree poem to take home on one of our illustrated postcards. You can also contribute to a collaborative textiles piece, adding your words and embellishments to a piece of shared art.
