Ecoprinting with Andrew Howe
What: online workshop
When: 13 March 2021 at 2pm
Where: @meadowarts on Instagram
Join artist Andrew Howe online to try eco-printing and making marks with dyes, using natural materials gathered from your local green space or garden.
Andrew is one of four artists making artworks inspired by Avon Meadows, Pershore during 2021 for a Meadow Arts project in collaboration with the Floodplain Meadows Partnership. Responding to the themes of Beauty & Utility and seasonal biodiversity, Andrew has been making paper and dyes from natural materials gathered from the landscape to create his artwork for the project.
You will be able to see Andrew demonstrate via IGTV on Instagram how to create beautiful prints using collected leaves, and then how to make natural dyes. Have a go at making your own eco-prints and try experimenting with different mark-making, again with materials you have collected, or with inks and watercolours.
We would love to see the work that you make and, if you would like to ask any questions, make comments and share your artwork, then join Andrew in conversation at @meadowarts on IGTV.
