Hereford College of Arts, College Road Campus, Hereford HR1 1EB

Meadow Arts and Hereford College of Arts have joined forces to host a Get Creative Family Arts Festival event at Hereford College of Arts' historic listed building, College Road Campus.
Giant sculpture - The Big Draw
meet the artist - letterpress printing - fun photo booth
make your own sculpture - fantasy makeup and more!

Artist Susie MacMurray has been commissioned to create a huge immersive sculpture, called Blur, in Hereford, West Midlands; visitors will be able to interact with Blur by walking around and inside the sculpture, which is a partnership project by Meadow Arts and Hereford College of Arts.

The artist was invited to work in Hereford because of her reputation for poetic site-specific interventions in historic spaces; this will be the focal point for a day of creativity in the heart of Hereford as part of the nationwide project, the Get Creative Family Arts Festival 2016.

As well as an opportunity to meet and talk to Susie MacMurray as she builds her sculptural installation, created from butterfly netting and occupying the main hall of the College Road Campus, Hereford College of Arts has created a programme of family friendly art activities for the day including a letterpress workshop, fun photo booth, live music, fantasy makeup, metalwork demos with mobile forges and The Big Draw.

We are also holding Curator's Tours of the Blur sculpture, for those who are not able to come on the 29th: tours will take place on 1st, 2nd & 3rd November:
