We bring new audiences to contemporary visual arts by working in unusual places, often where arts provision is low. From rural venues to historic houses; industrial landscapes to open-air spaces; we operate outside conventional galleries and embed contemporary arts in local communities.

Through commissioning new artworks in response to places and their stories, working with internationally recognised artists, and those starting out on their careers, we bring high-quality art to new places and produce rich, dynamic creative experiences.

Our education programme, Meadow Arts Inspires, works with schools, colleges and universities to create bespoke projects aimed at those aged 5-25. It connects our work with a diverse range of people and helps to deliver inspiring arts projects in an increasingly pressurised educational context.

Meadow Arts organises symposia where academics and artists meet to investigate the places where art and ideas collide. We support emerging talent via mentoring opportunities, the annual Meadow Arts Prize and by hosting a Youth Trustee placement.
