Mariele Neudecker - Courtyard Hereford

Over and Over, Again and Again [2004] by artist Mariele Neudecker is a rocky landscape, set within three water filled glass tanks, representing fore-, mid- and back-ground in a painting by Karl Friedrich Schinkel [The Gate in the Rocks, 1818]. The work has been installed at The Courtyard Centre for the Arts, in Hereford by Meadow Arts, as part of the Meadow Projects series, where works are exhibited in public spaces for a longer period of time than Meadow Arts’ main programme.

Another work by Neudecker, exhibited within this project, titled Pressure Exerted by Atmosphere on Earth´s Surface, Taken as Units of Pressure About 1kg Weight per sq cm [1997], is a set of 2 windows, placed on white plinths, filled with sky-like, tinted water solutions.
